The Germany Ticket is valid starting May 1, 2023. You can buy it in advance now through the NürnbergMOBIL app, where you will immediately receive it as a digital ticket on your phone.
Yes, that’s what the German government decided. You can purchase the Germany Ticket for the first time in the VGN area as a mobile ticket through the NürnbergMOBIL app, where it will be automatically renewed.
Cancellations are possible in writing by the 10th of the calendar month in which the cancellation is made. In the NürnbergMOBIL app, you can also cancel via the cancellation button linked to the Germany Ticket.
Yes. Buyers of the Germany Ticket receive 600 free minutes per month for VAG_Rad or 15 for Voi. Existing customers who switch to the Germany Ticket also continue to receive 600 or 15 free minutes. For both VAG_Rad and Voi, a start-up fee is charged, regardless of the free minutes.
Existing subscribers do not need to cancel their subscription.
Customers currently paying more than 49 euros per month for their VGN subscription will have their contract automatically switched to the Germany Ticket on May 1, 2023.
For customers paying less than 49 euros per month, an automatic switch to the Germany Ticket can be made if desired.
Instead of the mobile ticket, the Germany Ticket can also be ordered as a chip card ("eTicket") in the VGN area. The ordering process takes place on meinabo.vag.de. The NürnbergMOBIL app only offers the mobile ticket option.
Unfortunately, the Germany Ticket can only be purchased for the person registered in the NürnbergMOBIL app. If you want to buy it for someone else, they will need their own user account.
At the moment, we can only offer SEPA direct debit as a payment method. However, we are working on offering other payment options (e.g., PayPal) in the future.
